If you have read my post about Yakitate Restaurant, then you have an idea about my commitment to eating healthy and my love for Asian cuisine. Just recently, I have devoured yet another culinary adventure but this time, it’s fusion. Asia Kitchen by Mainland China has definitely won a place on my palette. It is a restaurant located at Burjuman Mall which serves dishes that are fusion of Chinese and other Asian flavors.
Being located inside a mall, it is very accessible but tends to be very busy and crowded during peak hours. Good thing, when I ate there with my Tita Mel, it was not yet busy as it was still early for dinner and a weekday. I loved the interiors and the live kitchen added up to the Asian restaurant ambiance. Upon entering, we were seated immediately and offered a menu on an iPad complete with photos. This was a thumbs up as some of the dishes were new to me. The service host who attended us was very helpful and accommodating of our requests. I have said this a lot of times already but I will reiterate again now, SERVICE MAKES THE DIFFERENCE. He suggested their bestsellers and informed us of the serving sizes of each dish we were interested of ordering. We ended up having the Vegetable Dimsum (vegetarian), Nasi Goreng Chicken and Japanese Wheat Noodles (vegetarian).
While waiting for the main course, we were served complimentary appetizers. It was tasty and ample for a company of two persons. After 5-7 minutes, we were served our food. We first tried the Vegetable Dimsum and it was amazing! It was full of flavors. The Nasi Goreng Chicken was tasty too but nothing special. On the other hand, the Japanese Wheat Noodles was a blockbuster! It was super delicious considering that it has no meat in it. I loved its mild spiciness that complimented the other ingredients. This was by far the highlight of our dinner at Asia Kitchen by Mainland China.
There were some other dishes that we wanted to try but we were so full. The serving size was more than enough for the two of us that I even asked a service host to pack the left overs for take away. The price range is 150-200 AED for two persons depending on what you’re ordering. It is pretty reasonable if want to spoil yourself on a healthy and delicious dinner once in a while. Overall, I recommend going here if you crave for some Chinese or Asian food.
